Meet Dr. Baghdadi

Dr. Ziad Baghdadi is a board-certified specialist in Pediatric Dentistry. He has been an Associate Professor in Pediatric Dentistry, teaching undergraduate dental students and pediatric dentistry residents at the University of Manitoba. In addition, he has been working with children (from birth up to age 18) to improve their oral health over 25 years.

After obtaining his Doctor of Dental Surgery in 1992, Ziad completed his specialty training in pediatric dentistry at the University of Damascus in 1996. He subsequently received master's and Ph.D. degrees in 1999 and 2002, respectively. He also holds a master's in public health (dental emphasis) from A. T. Still University, USA.

In addition, he earned a second Ph.D. from the University of Saskatchewan after studying children's dental treatment under general anesthesia. He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Dentists of Canada. Ziad is also an active member of the Canadian and American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, the Manitoba Dental Association, and the Canadian Association of Public Health Dentistry, presenting lectures during their scientific meetings. He also serves as an editor, reviewer, and author, contributing to dental literature.

Ziad enjoys watching his two sons playing soccer, cooking, and traveling with his wife and sons in his free time.
