Dr. McManus completed his dental school training in 2000 at the University of Manitoba. He completed a one-year dental residency in 2001 at the children’s hospital at the Health Sciences Centre in Winnipeg, where he provided care for children with a wide range of needs, including medically compromised patients.
His enjoyment of working with children led him to seek further training in this field, and he spent the next two years attending the University of Minnesota to become a pediatric dentist.
After working at the Metropolitan Pediatric Dental Group in Greater Minneapolis/St. Paul for one year, Dr. McManus returned to his hometown of Winnipeg in 2005 and has since been practicing as a certified specialist in pediatric dentistry.
Dr. McManus is a Fellow of the Royal College of Dentists of Canada and a member of the Manitoba Dental Association and the Winnipeg Dental Society.
He is also a member of the Minnesota Board of Dentistry and is board-eligible for the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry. Having a strong interest in humanitarian efforts, Dr. McManus has participated in several international volunteer dental missions, traveling to Nicaragua, Honduras, and Peru to provide treatment in rural communities.
Dr. McManus also feels rewarded in giving back to his community, and volunteers his dental services on a regular basis to those in need at Winnipeg’s Siloam Mission.
When he is not at work, Dr. McManus enjoys his time with his wife Ellen, three boys Kieran, Elliot and Lochlan and his dog Shamrock.
